Britain is a land that has a love of an association. British people seem to like belonging to an institution of like minded people who agree with them.
There are numerous British associations. The British Science Association and the British Chiropractic Association are two of the best known.

The British Science Association is a society in which people from all walks of life are able to engage and access science, and feel a sense of ownership about its direction. They seek to achieve this by connecting science with people through the affirmation of science as a prime cultural force and the promotion of openness about science in society inspiring young people and adults alike to take an interest directly in technology and science, and their implications.

The British Science Association was established in 1831, and it organizes major initiatives across the UK, including the National Science and Engineering Week, an extensive program for young people in colleges and schools, programs of local and regional events, and the annual British Science Festival.

The British Science Association is a charity that has been established under the Royal Charter and is governed by a Council which forms the Board of Trustees. It is registered with the Charity Commission and with the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator.

The British Science Association is managed by a professional staff of about 5 regional staff across the UK and about 30 people in the national office. There are 16 scientific sections in the Association, which primarily contribute to the annual British Science Festival. These sections are run by committed volunteers as are the 30 or so branches, which organize the activities and events locally across the UK. There is much love in Britain for this association. British people love their science.
The British Chiropractic Association was established in 1925 and currently represents as many as 800 chiropractors in the UK. The organization has a strict code of ethics and conduct. Only chiropractors who have trained for at least 4 years full time at an accredited college can become members.

Chiropractors manage, treat, and diagnose conditions that affect the joints and spine, using manipulative techniques that are known as adjustments.

While the body has the capability to heal itself, however, should a vertebra or a joint become somewhat misaligned, by means of a person’s lifestyle or an accident, it may affect the nervous system which can cause discomfort and pain. Chiropractors restore normal alignment which allows the body to heal itself. Once again the British people are health conscience and love their chiropractor association.
